Celebrating the Italian Touch - Igor Poza

Tod’s Group in collaboration with Donatella Sartorio, an Italian fashion and style journalist, set out to create a book to capture the essence that is the Italian Touch. The book shares the distinguished style of Italy that incorporates history while simultaneously includes evolving trends. Italy is recognized by the world as a fashion icon — style that is simple yet tasteful, casual yet polished.

“Italian Touch is an exclusive book shot around Italy that captures Italian families in their homes. A collage of images that set off the style, elegance, tradition, and culture of modern Italians, confidently understated and innately elegant. People on the go, who live in big cities or small towns, rooted in the past yet digital-savvy and forward-looking. And quintessentially Italian.

To celebrate the Italian Touch book, Tod’s Group hosted the Italian Touch Book event in Paris. Of the attendees, was Igor Poza, Europe Tod’s Group Managing Director.

He reflected on the book and the 2009 Paris launch event:

“The book is like a love letter to Italy.

“It is done so naturally through photos of people wearing Tod’s shoes, on the go, that you do not even notice the product placement. Everyone is elegant and chic, yet completely casual and relaxed.

“For the launch of this book, different press and communications events were held to celebrate. This event in particular was hosted in Paris Rue du Faubourg St Honoré flagship store by its Founder and Chairman Mr. Diego Della Valle.

“Through its shots, Italian Touch illustrates the Italian style and lifestyle which is embedded in TOD’s DNA. This accomplished work represents an environment of extreme charm and style, encapsulating the Tod’s legacy.”
