In a time when people are frightened, unsure, and face dire economic conditions, companies need to play a crucial role in supporting their customers and their communities. By definition, Benefit Corporations or B Corps focus on profit and purpose. Amalgamated Bank is the country’s largest Certified Bank B Corp and we have been a Certified B Corp since January 2017. As America’s socially responsible bank, Amalgamated Bank leads with purpose, which is one of the primary reasons I was attracted to join its board.
