He also talks about his mission of giving back to the community and future plans for the healthcare industry. Finally, Corwin talks about the launch of the Medicare Advantage Health Plan, which provides care to people without having to pay to break the bank.

Professional Journey — Corwin N. Harper

“In 1986, I started my professional journey as a medical service officer in the United States Army. After being in the army for eight and a half years, I spent two years at Mount Sinai Health System in Chicago. My journey continued with Kaiser Permanente for the next 25 years, and now I am the Chief Executive Officer at Ochsner Health.

“I am living out my dream of being closer to home, closer to family, continuing to pursue my healthcare career, and making great contributions in the Southeast part of the country.”

“Ochsner Health’s mission is to make the overall state of Lousiana healthier, to continue to grow and provide care not just across the state of Lousiana but also in key communities in the state of Mississippi.”

“We just launched our Medicare Advantage Health Plan last year, so it gives us a chance to play in the decapitated value-based care world to provide care to patients in a very preventive and forward-thinking manner.”
